A quick word from Oklahoma! I don’t have much time to write, but I thougt I would post a quick post with some pics. Right now, I am in Skiatook, OK at the local McDonalds enjoying their wifi and mocha Frap (sort of off the subject =).

The weather has been very enjoyable, though a little cooler than the normal average for this time of year. God has been good. We have immensely enjoyed the rest, relaxation, work, and wonderful family time that this special place has brought. The Toedt’s generosity has been much appreciated!

There is so much to write about, but since I have limited amount of time…this will have to suffice for now. God bless!!

IN a few hours, we will be on the road to Oklahoma to spend a little over a week at Eagle Springs. We are really looking forward to this time as a family. We will do our best to keep you updated on how the trip goes!

Valentines…and the ICE

Friday evening of this past week, the staff got together and put on a Valentine’s Banquet for staff couples here at the Headquarters along with many training center directors and special guests. So much planning, preparation, and effort went in to this event to make it a wonderfully special time for each of the couples and those who attended. On our part, it was a very rewarding experience. Everything seemed to smoothly according to plan…which is always a big blessing. Hannah was one of the key people in preparing music for the event. She did a great job and it sounded simply beautiful? The rest of us were involved with prep work, cleaning, dishes, etc. It was great.

On Saturday, after our big event, we got together a group of people and went over to the Hinsdale park where we enjoyed a time of ice skating and hockey. It was an awesome way to spend the afternoon. We made a great memory. All in all, this week was busy like usual. We are looking forward to this weekend as we prepare and leave for a warmer place…Eagle Springs… =)

Snowy Illinois and Sunny Florida

Many of us woke up this morning to a 3.8-4.3 Earthquake here in Chicago along with about a foot of snow. We definitely got some snow!

Nate came home this past week from his adventures in Florida with Chaplain Hollyfield. He was inspired and hopefully I can get him to share with you later about the things that God showed him and the different opportunities that he was involved with. It was pretty exciting to hear the different things that God!

Lord willing, we will be heading south for a time of regrouping as family. It has been awhile since we have gotten away just as a family so we are looking forward to this trip. Our designated destination…the wonderful plains of Tulsa, Oklahoma (Eagle Springs to be exact =). We will be enjoying some time with Toedts and each other before heading into this year full swing.

We are excited about God is going to do…every day is a new adventure!

A Father’s Conference…and Friends

Thomas, Dad, and I all had the opportunity to come to the Father’s conference at the Indianapolis Training Center. Thomas was keeping busy with book sales, while Dad attended/assisted in many ways, and I kept busy with chores. =) It was a great conference!! All the fathers that I talked with were really encouraged as well as challenged to be a better father to their children and a better husband to the their wife. There seemed to be a passion among the men to practice the things that they had learned at the conference when they got home.

Overall, it was a great conference and were glad to have a small part in it!
