Two Special Days

The past few weeks the Paine family has celebrated two important events, that should not go unmentioned. First, was Brielle’s 16th Birthday! Brielle has been such a blessing to our family. Her love for God and courage to stand up for what is right has been an example to each one of us. She had the privilege of making a very important decision of having Dad and Mom’s blessing on her future life partner and also choosing to keep herself pure. The ring she was given is a reminder of this.

Second, the family had the opportunity to show our appreciation to Mom on Mother’s Day. Mom can’t be described in a few words. The love and sacrifice she has given on behalf of serving our family has been countless. Her love and hospitality for others comes from her deep relationship with her Heavenly Father. We are SOOO thankful for her! She has more than blessed our family in many ways!

“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.” ~Proverbs 31:28,29

It is truly Spring!!!

We have been enjoying the spring showers and sunshine. We have had several inches of rain….Praise the Lord. Because of the draught this past year, the rain was welcomed. Everything is turning green. Sometimes, we do not appreciate what we have til it is gone. We are thankful for the rain and the sunshine. So, we decided to spend some time outside in the fresh air. The flowers are blooming, the water is rushing into the Basin (a pond like area fed by a small steam), and the birds are singing with a renewed fervor. “To every thing there is

While Mom, Hannah, and John went to Louisville Kentucky (for Hanna’s harp lesson), I (Brielle) had the privilege of staying home with my two younger brothers, Josiah and Daniel . We made quite the memories together. Danny and I accompanied Josiah fishing. As the time came for Mom, Hannah, and John to return, there was a bad storm and some tornados touched down around the area that they were traveling through (close to Henryville, IN). They made it back all in three whole parts ‘;) We praise the Lord for his protection and mercy on them as they drove, as some people lost their lives in that storm.

A late Valentine’s banquet

Since most of us were somewhat under the weather on Valentine’s Day, we had our banquet at the end of February. We wanted to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the essence of true love….He loved us while we were yet sinners

(Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.)
and He laid down His life for us (Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.) Wow…..what love! And by His example, we can truly love one another. Hope each one of you enjoyed your time with loved ones.

Enjoying unusually warm weather…..

We were blessed with unusually warm weather in January, even for Oklahoma…One day it was 71 degrees. Josiah, Daniel and John Michael enjoyed the Basin even though the water was a tad bit cool.

“This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it”

A beautiful sunset completed the day that God had made.

Just a little addendum to our friends and family. We have not forgotten all of you. We are still settling in and waiting on the Lord for further direction. We are thankful for all your thoughts and prayers during this major transition in life.
