Dad

Imagine, having everything you wanted at the age of 20 by the time you were 40 years old! I did… and yet was not successful. I had a wonderful wife, nine children, a beautiful home, properties, prominence in the community as a family physician, and position as an elder in our local church. From the world’s perspective I was successful. I believed this until I heard the true definition of success; Fulfilling the purposes for which God created me. This helped me understand the emptiness I experienced in the midst of my prosperity.

Through God’s divine intervention when I reached 40 years old, He began to lead me on a journey of brokenness and openness that continues to this day. Within 2 years God called me to step out of my boat of security (Matthew 14:25-29) and leave my medical practice to seek and trust Him with my life. Two years later He led us to sell all that we had and prepare for a family ministry. When this was done the Lord directed us to the Indianapolis Training Center to serve in the multi-faceted ministry of the Institute in Basic Life Principles.

True success begins when we accept God’s sacrifice for our sins…Jesus Christ. Our fellowship is maintained when we hear and obey Him each day.

Luke 4:18-19

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Steve, just looking at going to a Journey with Ernesto, and remembered this site… I Pray all is going well, and would love to see you some time when I am in Chicago. You are truly an inspiration and missed at ITC, (I have been there for our 8th C.N.A. class), and so many miss the Paine family. Well God Bless and let me know if you get this, thanks
