The Paine Family

With fall in full swing, Thomas, Nathaniel, Skyler, and myself planned a trip to the Northwoods for a time of rest, fun, and fellowship. All of these objectives were accomplished…and much more. We made some wonderful memories and came back with some great stories. =) The Lord really blessed our trip and we were very grateful for the opportunity to go.

The very first day that we were out on lake a huge front was steadily moving in. We knew that it would soon be raining, but we decided to make a memory and get out on the lake =). Sometimes when a cold or warm front moves in, it stimulates the fish to start biting…and this is just what happened. Nate and I landed our first muskie of the week. It was absolutely thrilling! This was the first muskie that we had ever caught and it was a great way to start off the week.

The remainder of our trip involved fishing, shooting, volleyball, retrieving an outboard motor from the lake (it’s a long story…we’ll just leave it at that =), and simply fellow-shipping together in the great Northwoods. The weather was cold and rainy most the time, but we managed to continue to catch more muskie throughout the week. It was great!

Time passed by all too quickly and it soon it was time to leave. Thomas, Nate, and Skyler all left for Chicago and I followed the next day to come and prepare for the last guys Journey of the year. It appears that this fall is going to just get busier, and so I was grateful for the time together as brothers. It will surely be remembered…
