Dear Friends…

This past weekend, we had the wonderful privilege of hosting two wonderful families. The Nelsons came up from the ITC to visit us along with the Heagy family. It was a blast!! With a total of 28 people (seven of which were 5 years old and under =) we had a full house that was full of action! We really enjoyed the fellowship and the opportunity to get better acquainted with the Heagy family. We did not do much as far as activities go…we just enjoyed talking and “catching up” (I guess the kids were playing non-stop).

During their brief stay, we gave them a tour of the PC and the different areas that we are serving in here in Chicago. We also were able to take a walk in a neighboring park. It afforded a chance to get some great shots. One of my favorites is the shot of “Becka” who decided to sit down and pose for me without my asking… =) I would have to say that she is a very photogenic girl. It was great!!

It was a lot of fun…and the time passed way too fast. As I pondered our time together, I remembered Jesus words expressing His desire for us as believers to be one as He and the Heavenly Father are one. We have definitely experienced a wonderful oneness with these families that have been such a blessing. It is our prayer that the Lord would continue to bless them as they faithfully serve others.

“…Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”

~ John 17:11

What a fun weekend! Thanks for everything, dear Paines. Your family is such a blessing to us, and we are grateful to the Lord for such sweet fellowship IN HIM.

    Oh, and Happy Birthday Johnny!
