Publishing Peace

I would have never guessed that our family would be serving here at the headquarters of IBLP at such a time as this. It still has not “sunk in” completely yet, partly due to the fact that we have been so busy. =) Serving in the publications/shipping department has been a whole new experience for all of us.
We have been striving to understand how the system works so that we might be of better assistance while at the same time keeping up with the demand of the daily orders. We have learned so much in the past four weeks!!
As we began to serve in this department, Dad asked the Lord to confirm to him that this was truly His BEST for us as a family…it was a challenge and the task at hand was overwhelming at times. God answered Dad’s prayers in such a beautiful yet direct way by giving him this verse from Isaiah.
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” ~Isaiah 52:7~
Twice in the this verse the word “publisheth” is mentioned. A coincidence? No. There was no doubt in Dad’s mind…this is where God has us for now. We can trust in Him as our faithful Shephered to guide us according to His perfect will. For it is only the Shephered, not the sheep, that knows the path ahead. Praise the Lord…He truly loves us!
Progress on our house continues to move along, though slow at times. We were blessed by three men in particular from ITC who came to help us out on the house two weeks ago (Patrick, Mr. Nelson, and Skyler =).
They truly encouraged us and accomplished much. This past week we also had a visit from the
Nelson family…a high-lite in the week for us all!! Though short, our time together was very meaningful. We are so grateful for friends who love the Lord and are committed to following God’s leading and guidance.
July already…time is racing on. We have yet a little while upon this earth and then eternity awaits us. May the Lord give us all the grace and the wisdom to make the most of the treasure of time that He has entrusted to us. God bless…

Love the pictures… especially the one of Abby! Your smile is priceless… =)
It is always such a blessing to see how you PURPOSELY and EXPECTANTLY seek the Lord’s direction through His Word…Thank you for posting yet another testimony – so encouraging!
Looks like God is directing you family in His will. It’s hard to tell all the ways He will be using you! (as I learned at this link) http://www.thewilkesteam.com/2009/07/03/remember-one-nation-under-god/#comments
That is such a neat confirmation from the Lord! I really miss you all, Paine family! Your presence here is sorely missed
May God bless you in a special way today.
