A Ladies Retreat…and a Zoo Outing =)

This past weekend was full of activities, sunshine, and family time. Mom and the four other wonderful young ladies in our family planned a retreat to spend quality time with each other as well as to simply relax. From the reports that I heard, it was a very special time that they were all encouraged by. Abby mentioned that it would be a very special memory to think back upon in the years to come. God has blessed our family with five virtuous woman who truly desire to follow Christ Jesus. I am glad that they were able to go on this brief but meaningful outing.

Well…that left the guys by themselves (scary thought =). So we decided to make a trip to the Zoo to make a memory. Thomas, Nate, Dad were not able to go…so that left me (Chad) with the three younger guys. It worked out that a majority of the Nelson family was able to go with us. They took a lot of great pictures as well as made the occasion even more fun and enjoyable. We had a blast! There was a lot to see and the afternoon was perfect. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to spend time with my brothers as well as like-minded Believers.

    How fun! It looks like you all had a super weekend. Family time is so refreshing—such a blessing, especially in the midst of a busy schedule. I’m glad the virtuous women could enjoy a retreat, and I hope all the guys survived. :) Gotta love those ALERT Cadet t-shirts!

    I love the zoo! This reminds me of many wonderful birthday celebrations that our family spent at the National Zoo in Washington, DC. Great times!
