A Journey of Truth
Posted by Chad 03 30th, 2009
Today I am heading up to the Northwoods of Michigan to begin a Journey to the Heart with 22 other young men. Yesterday morning, we had a couple of inches of snow to start of our first full day here at the Headquarters. I am excited, as well as overwhelmed, but I am trusting that God is going to do a good work in every heart and life for His ultimate glory. A verse that God has laid upon my heart for this Journey was a verse that my father encouraged me with, found in Isaiah 50:7…
“For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded:therefore have I set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”
A reoccurring concept for this Journey that continues to challenges my heart is exposing the lies of Satan and replacing them with the truth. As I have been listening to the different testimonies of the staff here at Headquarters, I am amazed at how subtle the lies of Satan are. I am looking forward to examining my heart and life in the light of God’s truth this week, that I may discover any lies that I have unknowingly believed.
Pray for us, that God’s truth would be shed abroad in our hearts, and that we would all have a renewed passion to love and serve God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
~ John 14:6 ~
We are praying for you this week, Chad! Here is a photo of the group. It sounds like the Lord is working!
We are blessed every time we hear reports of what God is doing in the lives of young men and women on these Journeys to the Heart. Thank you for your part in helping to make these a success for the kingdom of God.
I liked the Isa 50:7 passage also.
