Father’s Conference…Garland, Texas
Posted by Chad 05 11th, 2008
As the Regional came to a close, a group of us were already on our way to prepare for the Equipping Dad’s Seminar that was to be held just north of Dallas, Texas.![]()
This was going to be the first Dad’s conference that was open to the public. Over 200 father’s attended and were absolutely captivated by the testimonies of the young people. Many fathers were hungry for answers to problems in relationships with their teens and desired to be able to establish a strong bond that would last. Some were desirous of help and counsel in their marriage. Paul and Jenny Speed were able to talk with
many and Chris Hogan shared from his own experiences in marriage counseling as well as what God had taught him in his own marriage.
It was exciting to be apart of this adventure and watch God at work in the hearts and lives of those who attended. As I talked with the fathers, they shared how they appreciated the truth that was presented, especially the dynamic testimonies which spoke to each heart.
Praise God for a blessed, fruitful time! By the end of the week, we were all tired but still rejoicing.
On the way back to the Chicago headquarters, we stopped and stayed the night at Eagles Springs, just north of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the rest and the time to reflect on all that God had done. God is good and we look forward
to the fruit that will be born due to both of these conferences.
Please keep the HQ staff in your prayers as they gear up for another conference at the end of this month in Nashville, Tennessee. God bless! ![]()
Thanks for taking the time to write up an overview of the Dad’s Seminar. It was truly an amazing event with many fathers encouraged and challenged.
I also like all the pictures from our stops at Eagle Springs. I’ll never forget the fun and fellowship we had there.
That was such a fantastic seminar! So many lives were impacted for good. Your pictures are excellent. Now we are back from the Nashville Conference and grateful for all the ways the Lord answered prayer there. It is such a blessing to see the Lord at work!
