Consider…

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet… O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:3-6,9
This verse came to mind after I stood fourteen stories high watching the sun slowly sink beyond the horizon. Though the weather was bitterly cold with a wind chill of below zero, I couldn’t help but stand in awe at the Creator’s handiwork evident by the beauty that I beheld.
There’s the vast universe, then there is the microscopic cell, and then…there’s you and me. God cares about the big things and the little things…and God cares about us. So much so that He sent His only Son to pay the penalty for our sin. (John 3:16)
It’s something that we know, but do we really contemplate the love that God has for us. I think it’s important to consider the mighty works of creation, because it points to the God who cares and loves us with an everlasting love.
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3

What a good reminder! How much God does care for each individual… and even me! How refreshing, actually life-changing, it is to just contemplate this simple fact! The photography was beautiful too. Thank you for the post. Keep abiding in Christ. Praise God for drawing us so that we can indeed come to Him!
May we constantly realize how big our Creator God is, how small we are, yet how vast his grace is for each and everyone of we, His imperfect beings who are to bring Him glory. What an awesome responsibility that lays upon our shoulders. To whom much is given, much is required. Thank you for the reminder!
