A Family ReUnion
Posted by Chad 12 2nd, 2007
During the Thanksgiving celebration, we were able to enjoy a family reunion in the beautiful mountains of South Carolina as a family. It was a great time of fun, food, relaxation and a time of remembering all that God has done for us as we enjoyed Thanksgiving with Dad’s side of the family.
The weather was cold, but clear and sunny. There were still leaves on the trees, so there was a lot of color that we enjoyed. The drive up into the mountains was spectacular as we passed waterfall after waterfall and mountain peak after mountain peak.
The time was spent getting to know our Aunts, Uncles and Cousins better…which is somewhere around 60 people! We played games, sang, made memories and just enjoyed the fellowship.
It was a great time for our own family. It has been about two months since we had been altogether, and now we were able to be together, camping, making some memorable memories. =)
We are back at the training center preparing for the IBLP Staff Christmas conference (it’s a weekend retreat for all of IBLP’s staff).
It’s good to be home, decorating for Christmas, and delighting in being back together as a family.
Beautiful scenery. What part of South Carolina?
Your reunion reminds me of the times Christ would call his disciples away to the mountains for a season of rest. I do pray the short oasis energized your spirits as you continue to be a channel of joy, hope, and love to many!
Nice shot there Joey!
Wow! I’ve never been to South Carolina but, as I can see, it must be very beautiful. I’m glad you were able to spend some relaxing time with your relatives. We had a few relatives over for Thanksgiving… but not half as many! It must be great to have a large extended family.
What fun! I just set my computer’s Desktop Background to that first picture. Nice scenery!
The mini golf looked like a ton of fun! I love mini golf. Who came out on top?
